GRoup FITNESS

Group exercise is for those of us who like the buzz of a class environment. It has been found that exercising with others increases the endorphin hormones to make us feel better during physical exertion.

A recent study from Oxford (dead posh!) where rowers were tested after a vigorous workout in a virtual boat revealed that those who trained alone felt more pain than those who exercised together.

All Group exercise classes are carried out to current, motivational music, making the activities more bearable and fun.

With such a breadth of classes on the market at the moment it can be daunting to know which class is for you. Make sure you strike the balance by ensuring that all components of fitness are covered - working the heart and lungs (cardiovascular fitness) / muscles and joints (musco skeletal fitness) as well as ensuring that our bodies stay flexible and supple.

Participating in a variety of classes will ensure that you stay interested and your body stays “surprised” each time you come to work out.

Redballs Group Exercise classes are taught in Callachans Health & Therapy Studio, West Sanquhar Road, Ayr / Ayr's Premier Health Club, Ayr / or local Halls. Many of these classes can be paid on a pay as you go basis.
